I am so excited! It is time for the Papertrey Ink 2nd Anniversary festivities to start!!!! Today is all about favorites. Nichole asked each of us to pick a favorite set to give away on our blogs! That's 11 chances to win a Papertrey Ink stamp set!!
Picking a favorite is a little hard to do, though. I have so many sets that are my favorites. I finally decided on the Background Basics: Stars set since it was the set I used to create one of my favorite cards last year. I love stamping patterned papers and I love all the different star patterns in this set. It is another must have set for me.
I started by creating my card base (A2) and stamping the upper 3/4 with the Background Basics: Stars set and dark chocolate ink. I sponged some dark chocolate ink on the edges. Then, I cut a 1 inch strip of white cardstock. I stamped the stars from Around and About Sentiments in pure poppy ink and the sentiment in true black. I added a dark chocolate mat before adding it to my card. I stamped the same sentiment again on white cardstock using the circle version. I stamped the star in pure poppy ink and punched the sentiment out using a one inch circle punch. I added a dark chocolate scalloped mat and used foam adhesive to add the sentiment to my card. Lastly, I added red rhinestones in the centers of the stars.

I do not have this set with the stars. Your cards are so quite! I love your style. You have been a great inspiration to me other these past two years. You have been resourceful, patient and have a great way of explaining techniques. It truly is hard to select a favorite set....it seems like the new releases are my favorite. I am thankful to have as many sets as I do. They have all been put to good use.
