CASE Study 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop
Hi Everyone! Today I am playing along with the CASE Study Challenge blog in their 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop. I was lucky enough to be a muse for one of the months a couple years ago and always have fun getting to play along with their challenge. I love the idea of a challenge centered around inspiration of another card maker. Isn't that why we all share our creations?
Anyway, after you take a peek at my creation, be sure to continue hopping along and commenting to be eligible for the prizes being offered. If you haven't hopped along or get lost along the way, you can go to the Case Study Challenge Blog for the full list of those playing along with today's hop. I definitely recommend going along the hop because there are always lots of amazing creations from really talented card makers.
If you're hopping along, you should have arrived from Eva Dobilas' blog.
The theme of the anniversary hop this year is Inspiration. I get inspiration from lots of different things including other card makers, challenges, sketches, etc. For my card today, I drew my inspiration for the Crafting Life's Pieces Sketch Challenge (which is ending tonight, but they'll have a new one for August).
Since I got back to creating cards more again, I've mainly been making cards with colored images. For my card today, I chose the Pom Pom stamp from Lili of the Valley. I just love this image, but have never used it until now! I used the sentiment that comes with the Sunny Days and Smiles stamp.
The patterned papers I chose were a little too bright so I sprayed them with a white mist to try to tone them down a little. I like the paint splatter look it gave the papers.
I colored the image with copic markers (listed below in the supply list). After coloring the image and the grass, I masked the image and used some cloud masks before spraying the sky with a copic marker and my air compressor. Then, I added a little shading to the clouds after removing the masks.
I used an assortment of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some pearl spray and a silver filigree corner. Again, I added some stardust stickles to the flowers. (I can't seem to stop doing that because I like the sparkle it gives! lol)
Okay, it's time to hop on to the next blog, Andrea Ewen, to see what gorgeous creation she has to share with you.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day and have fun hopping!
