Happy Wishes

Hi Everyone!  I have a sneak peek from Stampavie to share with you today using the new Mouse and Poppy Seeds image from Tina Wenke.  It will be releasing later this month at the Winter CHA show and will be available at retailers before you know it.  The design team is sharing a new sneak peek each day over on the Stampavie blog so you can see more sneak peeks there.

I absolutely love this adorable image!  I started by stamping the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink and coloring the image with copic markers that coordinate with the Farmhouse patterned paper I chose from October Afternoon.  Then, I added some stitching and crocheted lace.  I finished off my card with a sentiment from Tina's new sentiment set called Celebrate.

Remember to check the Stampavie blog for my sneak peeks of the new releases.

Have a great day!

You Bring Out the Happy in Me

Hi Everyone!  Did you have a good Christmas?  It’s hard to believe 2012 is already here!  It’s my turn to post today over on the Stampavie blog.  (Can you believe this is the first card I have made in over a month?!)  I was trying to decide which image to use for my card today when I found this adorable Storybook Friends image from Tina Wenke.  Tina has some of the sweetest images and they are always some of my favorites from each new release.  Just wait until you see all the cute new images releasing at CHA!

I had this paper from My Mind’s Eye out on my desk from another project so I decided to use it on my card.  I love the pretty colors and patterns.   I started by stamping my image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  Then, I colored my image with copic markers that coordinate with my patterned papers.

I used these copic markers to color my image: W1, W3, YG61, YG63, YG67, R27, R46, R89, BG95, BG0000, BG000, Y35, BG53, BG18, R30, R32, R35, T3, T5, T7, T9, E33, E35, E37, E29, E53, E55, E57, E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02, colorless blender.

Then, I stitched my patterned paper layers together and added some crocheted lace.  I adhered my image with foam adhesive.  I added some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts (15 mm pink tone set b and 20mm 2 tone mixed colour open roses).  I used a sentiment from My Favorite Things' All Smiles stamp set.

Have a great week!

much appreciated

Guess who is Moxie Fab this week (and always)?  Waltzingmouse Stamps is being featured today over on the Moxie Fab blog.  It's great to see Waltzingmouse Stamps and Claire getting the much deserved extra attention.  Waltzingmouse Stamps offers high quality photopolymer stamps with amazing designs and fabulous customer service.   Claire, the owner, is one of the sweetest people I've met through stamping and I'm so honored to get to work with her.  Head on over to the Moxie Fab blog for a chance to win SIX Waltzingmouse Stamps sets.

I don't have a Christmas card to share, but I thought I would share this card today instead.  I made it back when I was the muse for the CASE Study Challenge, but never got around to sharing it until now.   I used the following Waltzingmouse Stamp sets to create my card: Afternoon Tea Sentiments, Rescue Remedies Additions, and Pic-Nic Patterns.

I started by stamping the pattern on my card base using petal CTMH ink and a background stamp from Pic-Nic Patterns.  Then, I stamped the sentiment from Rescue Remedies Additions with black CTMH ink on kraft cardstock.  I stitched around the edge and adhered the piece to my card with foam adhesive.  I stamped the pansies from Afternoon Tea Sentiments twice on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  I colored them with copic markers and cut them out.  Then, I layered them and adhered them with foam adhesive.

Okay, head on over to the Moxie Fab blog for a chance to win some free stamps.  Claire is also doing an unrelated give away on her blog so be sure to check it out, too.

Have a great day!

Oh Come Let Us Adore Him

I got the go ahead from Stampavie to share my cards I made for the newsletter so here is the first one.  This card uses the adorable Away in a Manger image drawn by Tina Wenke.  This is one of my favorite images from the Christmas release this past summer.  Tina has such a way with sweet images.

I used patterned papers from My Mind's Eye's I Believe line.  The embellishments I used are from Wild Orchid Crafts .  I used these items: 20mm deep red open roses, 25mm white wild rose, 4mm deep red close rose buds, 15mm white open roses, white pearl spray, filigree gold corner, 5mm white pearls.

I stamped the image on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  I colored the image with the following copic markers: G94, YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99, R27, E31, YR32, YR35, R30, E33, E35, E37, W1, W3, W5, W7, YR12, B32, B34, BG000, BG000, BG00, E000, E00, E11, E13, R12, colorless blender.

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Holidays

Hi Everyone!  It’s hard to believe it is already December.  Christmas will be here before we know it!  For my post today, I thought I would pull out another one of the Christmas images from Stampavie.  This image is called Gifts for You and is from Penny Johnson.

I used some patterned papers from Echo Park’s Season’s Greetings line and some crocheted lace from May Arts.  I added some buttons and baker’s twine along with a little Christmas tree charm.

I used a sentiment from Tina Wenke’s Holiday Wishes sentiment set.  I stamped the image and sentiment on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink.  Then, I colored the image with these copic markers: R24, R27, R46, R89, Y35, E79, E31, E33, E35, E37, E29, E000, E00, E11, E13, R00, R02, BG10, BG11, BG13, W1, W3, YG93, YG95, YG97, E51, E53, colorless blender.   After coloring my image, I sponged some antique linen and tea dye distress inks around the edges of my image.

Then, I added some white fun flock to Santa’s cap and the cuffs of his coat using a Sakura Glue Pen.  I used a gelly roll pen (from Sakura) to add a little sparkle to the stars and snowflakes.  Then, I adhered my image with foam adhesive.

Have a wonderful week!
