my fabulous friend

I have another card to share today that uses the Friends 'Til the End set.  I love how did this flower is from most of the other Papertrey flower sets.  It's such a beautiful and realistic looking flower.  (I don't know much about flowers so I have no idea what kind of flower it is.)  I started out by stamping my flower patterned paper using true black ink on white cardstock.  Once it dried for just a minute, I added some red stitching before adding it to my card.  I cut a true black rectangle using a rectangle nestability die.  Then, I stamped the flower and leaves on white cardstock and colored them with copic markers.  I added my sentiment and true black rectangle to my card using foam adhesive.  Then, I used more foam adhesive to add my flower and leaves after I cut them out with detail scissors.  Last, I added a few buttons to my card.

I've been looking into getting a faster internet connection (I'm on dial up).  The problem seems to be that I live in a fairly rural area (I live in town, but our county is like the end of the world! lol) and not much is offered here (no verizon high speed even).  I did find one company that offers wireless and dsl.  They tell me their dsl is faster than their wireless.  It would help if I knew much about them or even what the difference is. lol  We think we might try the dsl.  Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Have a Happy Day!

Niki

Niki, I LOVE this card. In fact (and certainly no offense to the other gals cause I like everything), I think this is my FAV card to date made with this stamp!!!! I wasn't going to put it on my wish list...but your card might make me change my mind.

Well I'm no expert bet the DSL would definitely give you speed compared to dial up. You will wonder how you ever lived without it once you have it!
Gorgeous card.

When we lived in the big city of Knoxville, TN (lol!)we had internet through the cable company and it was great! We live in a more rural area now and the cable company is only in this area sporadically so we had to go with dsl through the phone company. We took the fastest dsl package they offered and I can't tell the difference between what we have now and what we had through the cable company (except it's a bit cheaper now) and we've had this for 2 years.
Fabulous card! I can't wait to make something like this!

Hey Niki! Your card ROCKS girl! I so hear ya on the whole dial up issue. Where we lived before we didn't have high-speed and it drove me CRAZY! We thought about DSL but, at the time (4 years ago) it was SO EXPENSIVE! Now that I have high speed, though, I seriously couldn't live without it!

This is beautiful- I love the black and white with the red pop! I have DSL and like it, I don't really download huge files so it works for me and we have wireless too.
