Sweets for my Sooeet!

Sundays mean High Hopes challenges.  But since we were posting the Papertrey blog candies yesterday, I decided to save this card for today so it didn't get lost in the frenzy! lol  This week's challenge is brought to us by the amazing Ila.  Seriously, if you haven't checked out her work, you have to!!  She challenged us to use lace somewhere on our cards.  Ooh, this is an easy one for me!  I have been loving lace lately!

I received some of the valentine piggies in my last order and had to use another one for my card for the challenge.  This is Chef Pierre.  Isn't he cute?!  I also had to use some of my My Mind's Eye Irresistible papers.  I love this line!  It might well be my favorite valentine line this year!  Bev has it in stock if you are looking for it.  Everything on my card is pretty straight forward so I'm no going to go through the steps except to highlight a couple things.  If you have questions, feel free to ask.

I colored Chef Pierre with copic markers.  Then, I masked the image, put it back into the nestability die, and sprayed it with a copic marker and my air compressor.

I added my lace to my card base.  Then, I stamped my sentiment on a piece of vintage cream stitched ribbon and layered it over the top part of the lace.  For my red ribbon, I tied my bow first (not tying it around the card, just tying the ribbon itself).  Then, I stitched the button and flower over the knot in the ribbon.  I attached the ribbon to my card base and added the stick pin with the chipboard heart on it. (I made the stick pin by cutting the beads off of it that were originally on it and using liquid adhesive to add the chipboard heart to the top.)

As always, there is a prize up for grabs if you join in the challenge.  And who doesn't love free stamps?!

Niki
