Greetings from the farm

This week's High Hopes challenge is distressing.  I decided to use some of the farm stamps that I haven't had a chance to use yet from the February release.  The chicken, pig, farmer, and farm background are all separate stamps.  I stamped and masked the image to create my scene.  Since my scene was fairly large, I decided to create a simple card where the image really is the focus of the card.  After coloring my images with copic markers, I sponge the edges with dark chocolate link.  Then, I distressed the edges with a pair of scissors.  I cut a kraft card base (card is 5x7) and sponged the edges with ink.  I added a pure poppy mat, sponged the edges again, and added it to my card using foam adhesive.  The design is very simple, but I like how it lets the busy farm scene take center stage.

Check out the High Hopes blog to see all the design team creations for this challenge.   Have a great day!

Niki
