It's only a few grey hares!

This week's High Hopes challenge is a sketch challenge brought to us by Jeanne.  She gave us a fun sketch with lots of circles.  Easter is just around the corner so I had to use another of the bunny stamps from the last release.  I just love this mama bunny with her baby bunnies.  I colored the image with copic markers and the patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  Check out all the wonderful design team creations for the challenge over on the High Hopes challenge blog.

I shared the photo yesterday of the flowers I bought on Etsy.   Kiera left a comment with a link to a another blog that had a video tutorial.  (Thanks so much, Kiera!)  It was a great tutorial!  It really helped me relearn some of the necessary stitches.  I created the green using some yarn for making wash clothes and the pink flower on the top using crochet thread while watching the tutorial (a few times with some pausing *wink*).

Then, I decided to try out the flower style that I really love, the Irish rose.  I used this pattern here.  Okay, seriously, that tiny little flower took me probably a couple hours to crochet!  (I'm definitely a beginner! lol)  I have the hardest time reading the pattern and it took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to be doing.  Anyway, these are my first attempts.  Nothing fabulous, but not too bad for my first go round.  I am having fun learning, but I am definitely a beginner.

Oh my goodness...this card sure made me smile! Love it!
I read your blog regularly, but haven't commented. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your generosity in sharing your talent and creations.
I also had to comment to wish you luck on relearning crocheting and to thank you for the links. I love the same flower you do and am happy to have a pattern to try it for myself. If you get the hang of it, there are lots and lots and lots of fun patterns for dolls to crochet. I've got some that I have made on my blog...if you are interested...
Thanks again for always inspiring!

Fabulous job with the bunnies, Niki! Love that gal and all her fluffy babies!
But don't even get me looking at those gorgeous flowers though, because I do knit and crochet but I just don't want to HAVE to HAVE those flowers and then get on a kick spending hours making them. I may have a slight problem with obssession...giggle. I just haven't got any extra time right now....*sigh*.

Thanks to your post w/ the box of crocheted flowers, I remembered I had started a table runner years ago :0 So I took that out and worked on it again. I can only make the long side by side ones and haven't tried the circle ones. I'll have to ask my Mom to teach me to make those ;) I'm going to watch the video! Thanks!
