bee happy

This week's featured stamper over on SCS is Sparkle.  She has a great gallery and I chose this card on the left to case.  I pulled out one of the cute little bees from the last High Hopes release and some Cosmo Cricket patterned paper to play along.  I stamped the middle panel with a background stamp from the last release as well. The sentiment is from Papertrey's Honey Bees set.  I changed the following:

• stamped image and theme
• patterned papers and colors
• changed middle panel from embossed panel to stamped panel
• added stitching
• added some layers and an extra flower embellishment by the sentiment

I added some angel wings Shimmerz to my bee's wings to make them nice and sparkly, but you can't see it in the first photo.  I also sponged antique linen distress ink along the edges of my patterned papers, cardstocks, and image panel.

I have been asked in the past what copic markers I used to color images, but I rarely color the images and create the card the same day I post it.  Luckily, today I remembered to snap a photo of the markers I used to color this little bee image.  Sorry, I don't know the name of this bee image and can't find it on the High Hopes site.  I'll have to email Tina and ask her about it.
