laughter is music for your heart to dance to

Today, I have a card to share that uses the last two sets released from Papertrey Ink last week.  I absolutely love Background Basics: Text Style and Fancy Flourishes.  I love to stamp my own patterned papers so these sets are right up my alley!  Using old book print is a trend that is very popular right now.  What I love about BB: Text Style is that I can stamp my own, distress it to look like old book print, and it is safe to use in my scrapbooks.  Love that!  I get the look without all that acidic paper.

I stamped my book print first, cut it out, and distressed the edges.  Then, I sponged ink along the edges and over the text.  Then, I stamped my flourish pattern on spring moss cardstock with hibiscus burst ink.  I sponged the edges with dark chocolate ink again and then, I stitched each piece to their mats.  The sentiment is from Out on a Limb Sentiments.

I played around a little more with my etsy shop this morning, adding some things, and adjusting some prices.    We've had a week of sunshine and nice weather finally although today is cold and dreary.  We had my son's preschool graduation last night which was fun.  I haven't taken a photo of the card I made him yet so I'll share that soon.  Have a great day!

Niki

This card is absolutely beautiful! You have truely mastered the art of distressing your edges...and trust me there is definitely skill involved with that!! I am curious to know what you think of PTI's new Vintage Touch system for this? Thanks!
