Vintage Picnic Possibilities

I am so excited because I get to share a sneak peek today of a couple of the new Papertrey Ink sets releasing the 15th at midnight.  These sets are called Vintage Picnic and Vintage Picnic Sentiments.  They are the result of a collaborative effort by Nichole and Mish.  Oh my goodenss, these sets are so much fun!  Vintage Picnic has a many different toppers that fit lots of different themes and a bunch of cute, vintage picnic baskets.  So cute and so much fun to stamp!  I absolutely love creating vintage inspired cards and what better theme would there be for these adorable vintage picnic baskets?!

I wanted to share a Christmas themed card and had to create a little picnic basket to go with my card using Lauren's new Pack a Picnic template (also releasing the 15th).  I love this cute little basket template!  (You can click on the image to see a larger photo.)

I chose my basket and stamped it on kraft cardstock.  Then, I stamped my card base using Background Basics: Retro and dark chocolate ink.  I love how the card matches the basket in the image andmy template basket.   They just look cute sitting together! lol  I swiped the edges of my card and patterned paper with the tea dye duo ink cubes.  I used some rustic cream cardstock for my image panel.  It's perfect for my vintage theme.  I stamped the top of my image on the rustic cream cardstock and colored it with copic markers.  Then, I cut my basket out and adhered it below the contents.

I added some scalloped punched pure poppy cardstock, lace, and a poinsettia (snipped from a floral arrangement item found at a craft store).  Then, I added some dimensional glaze to the berries in the image.

I have to say I absolutely love the Pack a Picnic template!  It is so adorable and you get two versions in the download (a small and large version)!  I stamped my basket again with the Background Basics: Retro set to make it look like the basket in the image and swiped the edges with the tea dye duo ink cubes.

I had to include a photo of the pure poppy twill handles in the upright position.  It looks so darn cute!

I filled my picnic basket with some shower essentials.  A little gift set fits perfectly.  Wouldn't this be a cute little gift for Christmas?  (Click on the photo for a larger version.)

Vintage Picnic is such a cute set and very versatile.  There is a image for so many different themes and the sentiment set is such a great addition.  I will definitely be playing with a lot more!  Check out what the other designers created for even more ideas and inspiration: Nichole, Becky, Betsy, Dawn, Debbie, Geny, Heather, Lauren, Lisa, Melissa, and Michelle.
