sending you sunshine

The last year has just flown by and Christmas is almost upon us!  I am so not ready yet!  I've got presents pretty much covered for our kids, but I have barely started my calendar for this.  The grandparents in the family may be disowning me this year if I don't get it done soon since that is all they ever ask for for Christmas.  I'm not sure where along the line I got so far behind this year. 

And can you believe tonight was the last release for 2009 for Papertrey Ink?!  Sadly, I missed the release party tonight.  Just not enough hours in the day and I've been so tired lately that I just want to go to bed early every night.  Hope everyone had lots of fun at the party!  How about a card before I head off to bed? *wink*

I just love how this card turned out.  It's so bright, and cheerful!  Nothing too fancy, but it's fun when everything comes together so well.  I stamped a row of flower stems and leaves across the bottom of my white card base using one of the stamps from the new Blooming Button Bits stamp set.    I added a doodled border around my card and the sentiment.  Then, I sprayed the sky and grass using copic markers and my air compressor.

Then, I used a small Cuttlebug flower die (comes in a pack for 4 flowers with the same shape but graduated sizes) to cut some white flowers.  I snipped each petal (not all the way, just a small snip) with my scissors to give them more dimension.  I stitched a pure poppy button in the center of each flower and adhered them to my card with foam adhesive.
