Be My Valenswine!

It's been way too long since I played with my High Hopes images!  I've missed them!  They are still some of my all time favorite cute images.  I pulled out this cute little piggie, Cupig, last week to play with.  Isn't he adorable?!  (Lacey has him in stock in her store, Stamp and Create, if you're looking for him.)

I paired him with some patterned papers from the Blush line from Basic Grey and colored him with copic markers that coordinated with my colors.  After coloring him, I masked him and sprayed the sky with a blue copic marker and my air compressor.  I added some glitter to his wings to make them all sparkly.  I also sprayed my sentiment with the copic marker.  The felt heart was cut by hand.  Lots of stitching, some ribbon, and a button with my felt heart finish off my card.

These are the copic marker colors I used to color my image.

Recipe
Stamps: Cupig, Valenswine (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Cardstock: white, dark chocolate (Papertrey Ink)
Patterned Paper: Blush (Basic Grey)
Accents: sweet blush button, pure poppy satin ribbon (Papertrey Ink), felt
Tools: copic markers, air compressor, circle nestability die, scalloped circle nestability die (Spellbinders), sewing machine, scalloped scallop border punch (EK Success), glitter

Yesterday was my mom's birthday so my kids wanted to create some birthday cards for her.  Of course, they turned out so cute so I had to share them, too.

My 3 year old daughter made this one using Gavin' the Givin' Dragon from High Hopes.

My 6 year old son made this one using the same image.  He loves coloring things half blue and half red because those are his favorite colors.  He said it was a police dragon hence the badge you can see under the present.

My son gave Grammie two cards.  This second one uses the Party Cat image from High Hopes.  He was also sure to mention that he colored one balloon pink since Grammie is a girl!  Ha ha  He wanted to be clear that the pink balloon was not a color he would normally choose!

Speaking of High Hopes, did you see that they have a new release coming out tomorrow with their new artist, Dustin Pike?  The sneak peeks on the design team blogs have been super cute!  They are having a blog hop tomorrow to celebrate so be sure to check out the High Hopes blog for details.  I know the design team members who have online stores have the stamps in their hands and they are ready to ship out tomorrow.  You can find them here tomorrow:

Amy Wegener - Stampin' Stuff based out of Australia

Nikki Fairbairn - Bunny Zoe's Crafts based out of the UK/Europe

Lacey Stephens - Stamp and Create based out of the US

Amy Leggate - Paper Romance based out of Canada

Have a great day!

Niki
