Cutie Charlotte

Isn't Charlotte such a cutie?!  I think it's her curls and adorable expression.  Anyway, I pulled her out last week to create a card since I hadn't had the chance to use her yet.  I paired the image with some patterned papers from the Little Sprout line from Fancy Pants.  After coloring my image with copic markers, I sponged antique linen distress ink around the edges to soften the white background.

See how my brad matches the patterned paper?  I used the I-toppper tool to create a brad from the same patterned paper I used on my card.  When I saw the demo videos for the tool, I wasn't too sure I would like the pleats around the edge of the custom brad, but I really do like how it turned out.  I love how it coordinates with the patterned paper.  It was super easy to use, too.

I do have a little news to share.  December was my last month on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps design team.  I just have some things going on personally and have stepped back from some design team requirements in the last few months.  I want to thank Kimmie for letting me be a small part in the launch of her new company and wish her tons of success!  Thanks for everything, Kimmie!!

Have a great week!

Niki

Charlotte is too cute. I wish I could shade hair the way you have done yours. Is there a touch of pink in it or did you just use the blender to remove the brown and it left that color. I think you are wise to know when to step down. Good luck!!

Charlotte cracks me up. Her expression and those rag dolls are so funny. I like that Fancy Pants paper and the covered brad is so cool. Can you make the brads in different sizes or just one size? I haven't seen this tool yet. Looks like fun. Hope you had a good weekend.
