It's hard to believe that it is finally release night over at Papertrey Ink! Lots of fun stuff going on all month, but I'm ready for a little break! lol At least now, I can start to share some of the other projects I've been working on.
I had to share this card first as it's one of my favorites that I created this month with a set other than Butterfly Dreams (which is available now *wink*). I paired the beautiful flower from Year of Flowers: Violet with Background Basics: Tin Types. I love that background with the large flower.
I cut my card base from plum pudding cardstock and stamped my tin type pattern on vintage cream cardstock with spring moss ink. Then, I rounded the corners and sponged the edges of the vintage cream cardstock with the tea dye duo and dark chocolate ink before stitching around the edges. I added my spring moss cardstock, lace, and ribbon to the top and stamped my sentiment. Last I added my violet (with foam adhesive) that I had stamped on white cardstock, colored with copic markers, and cut out.
Kelly Purkley, this month's guest designer at Papertrey Ink, posted some of her creations on her blog. You have to see the layout she did with Butterfly Dreams if you haven't seen it yet. I love it! Thanks for an amazing first countdown! If you happen to pick up Butterfly Dreams, be sure to leave me a comment when you post something. I can't wait to see what people start creating with the set!
Have a wonderful week!
