Happy Mother's Day

How about some card details and then a little chit chatting?  This week's product spotlight at Stamp and Create is Wags 'n Whiskers stamps illustrated by Crissy Armstrong.  All stamps illustrated by Crissy will be 25% off.  You can see all the stamps on sale here and more info on the Stamp and Create blog.

I used the adorable Just for You image to create a Mother's Day card.  I paired the image with some patterned papers from the Material Girl paper pad by Cosmo Cricket.  Then, I added lots of stitching and cut apart my sentiment to add it in strips.  Last, I finished off my card with a few buttons.

So, how was your weekend?  Our weekend seemed to fly by.  We had a sick kiddo on Saturday.   Yesterday, both kids were a little sick with a cough and runny nose, but not feeling too bad so we went shopping to get both kiddos some new shoes and pants.  They've been growing like crazy!  Amazing how the day can really fly by and you don't feel like you got much of anything done!

We got a couple new bookshelves, too, so I'm organizing books today.  Children's books are one of my favorite things and my kids both love to read.  We have our own library of books and read every night before bed for about a half hour (besides reading at other times during the day).  We could literally read at least a half dozen books or more a day and never read the same book twice in a year.  So, needless to say, I have some work to do organizing books today.  As a former teacher (I haven't taught since I had my son 6 1/2 years ago), I definitely believe in the importance of reading with your kids and it's something we all really enjoy doing.  It's been neat helping my son learn to read this winter/spring, too.  He is doing so well and is one of the top in his class.  (Sorry, have to have a little mommy bragging there as we are so proud of him!)

Well, anyway, have I mentioned that I've been keeping a big secret since last fall?  I'm not one to put a ton of personal stuff out on my blog so I've just been keeping it to myself.  The theme of my card today could be seen as a big clue. *wink*  Anyone want to take a guess?

Niki

I agree with you completely about the kids' books! My hubby and I think you can never have too many and we get a big new stack every week at the library to keep things interesting.
If everyone's guesses are correct, then a big congrats to you and your family! Can't wait to hear the details!

Aw, congratulations! When are you due?
Your card is adorable. The little looks mischievious and sweet at the same time! Not hard for kids to do that, though.
We had thunderstorms and tornadoes around here this weekend, so other than church, we just hung around the house. :0)

Niki, I love this card... and being a guy, it's great to see little "boy" cards. I'm tempted to get that image myself! :)
With regards to your news...you said the card is a clue...so I can only guess that you and your husband have come into a lot of money selling red buttons.
No? Stuffed dogs maybe?
Other than those guesses I have NO idea what it could be. *wink* ;)
(May God watch over your ever-growing family and may He see you through a safe, healthy, EASY pregnancy!) :)
