you're as sweet as honey

I've found a new love with the adorable images from Stampavie.  I love that they have different artists that each have their own style so there is something for everyone or whatever your mood.  I received this adorable I Love Honey image by Penny Johnson last month from Lacey at Stamp and Create.  Isn't he (or she) so cute?!  I paired my image with some patterned papers from the Ducks in a Row line by October Afternoon and colored it with copic markers in coordinating colors.

I added lots of stitching to my layers.  The last step was to add some dimensional glaze to the honey and let it dry.  I love how shiny and realistic it made all that sticky honey look.  My sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Honey Bees stamp set.

How's the weather in your neck of the woods?  Would you believe me if I told you it's been snowing here all day?  Crazy weather!  I'm ready for some warm sunshine.

Have a great day!

Niki

Niki this is cuter than cute! I do love the shiny look you gave the honey and it really does look like I could get my fingers all sticky if I touched it! Very cool! I love the bright colours and your awesome colouring skills. And the super duper cute image, wow! Adorable!!!

I have a few Stampavie images but not this one. That bear is so cute. I have a stitching question. Do you stitch two layers together or just do your stitching on one layer of cardstock. I have never stitched two together and am not sure if my machine would do it.

Hey sweetie!! I saw this on my phone the other day, but wasn't able to comment. I love everything about this layout and card!! You always have the perfect layout, your stiches are always perfectly straight!! And I just LOVE the glossy honey!! Looks yummy enough to eat!! Oh, and I love the sentiment peeking out!! I hope you had a wonderful mother's day and got to spend some time with your hubby!! Ansley was sick this weekend with stomach, sinus, and ear infection so we didn't get to do much. But they did make my mother's day special with flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, and handmade gifts. Big hugs!!
