This week's Lili of the Valley challenge is a sketch challenge. I had the chance yesterday to create this card using the adorable Baby's First Christmas image. I absolutely love this image! It reminds me of my two sons (even though the little one isn't close to walking yet). It's such a cute image. I paired the image with patterned papers from Echo Park's Everybody Loves Christmas line. (Yes, I used this line again! lol I love these papers. *wink*) The marashino red twine is from my etsy shop.
I colored the baby with copic markers. I used theses colors: E31, E33, E35, E37, E00, E21, E11, R12, R46, R89, C1, C2, C3, BG0000, BG000, BG01, colorless blender. After coloring my image, I sponged some peach pastel ink (Colorbox) around the edges. Then, I stitched my image to a layer of green cardstock (SU) and also stitched my patterned paper layers to cardstock. I stitched a couple buttons in the upper corner before adhering my patterned papers. I also added some white flock to the baby's hat and jammies and some glossy accents (Ranger) to Rudolph's nose. The fun sentiment is one of the new sentiments from Lili of the Valley. It's part of the Christmas Circular Sentiments set. I love these new sentiments! (Remember my love of seal sentiments? When I saw the new LOTV sentiments, I had to get them!)
