joy to you and me

I had the chance last weekend to create a card to play along with the current Lili of the Valley challenge which is Glitter and Glitz.  I have so many cute Christmas images from LOTV that I have not had a chance to use yet so this was a perfect challenge!  I pulled out this adorable Igloo for Two image.  This is one of my favorite images from LOTV!  I love those cute little penguins!

I used some pretty patterned papers from October Afternoon's Good Cheer line (not a new line, but new to me).  I also used some marashino red baker's twine from my etsy shop and some green buttons.

I colored my image with copic markers.  These are the colors I used:
penguins: W1, W3, W5, W7, W9, Y35, Y38, YR12
igloo: C1, C2
sled: E31, E33
presents: B00, B01, YG13, YG17, YG67, R27, R37, R89, R30, R32, R35
sky: B0000
colorless blender

After coloring my image, I added lots of stitching and some twinklets (finely ground glass) to the snowflake I had punched and to my image.  The sentiment is another one from Catslife Press.

Have a great day!

Niki

Supplies
Stamps: Igloo for Two (Lili of the Valley), sentiment (Catslife Press)

Patterned Paper: Good Cheer (October Afternoon)
Ink: tuxedo black (memento)
Accents: marashino red baker's twine, green buttons, twinklets

I just want to squeeze those cute little penguins. I love them! :) As usual, I am amazed by your copic coloring. Simply in awe. I swear, you should do video tutorials for your coloring. You are the best I have seen by far.
