joys of the season

Is everyone having a great Sunday?  It's rather dreary here so we're just hanging out and not doing much of anything.  I love the days when we just hang out at home together. :)  Anyway, I created this card yesterday for the Lili of the Valley challenge which is Anything Goes.  I'm also playing along with the Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge which is traditional Christmas colors.  I just love the adorable images that Lili of the Valley has and they just had another fun release with some cute images and lots of great seal sentiments.  I'm not admitting how many stamps I ordered! lol  This little cutie image is called Decorating the Tree.  I paired my image with some patterned papers from Echo Park's Merry Christmas line.

I colored my image with copic markers like always.  I used these markers:
tree: G21, YG63, YG67
stars: Y17
tree stand, ornaments, cap, sweater: R35, R37, R39, R89
pants: E55, E57
skin: E00, E21, E11
hair, ladder: E33, E35, E37
ground: E43, E44, E47

After coloring my image, I sponged some peach pastel ink around the edges and stitched it to a white cardstock mat.  Then, I added some white flock to his cap, some yellow glitter to the stars, and some glossy accents to the ornaments.  The pretty poinsettias are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I used another sentiment from Catslife Press.  (Yep, I an addicted to these fun sentiments! lol  They're great for cards, tags, and my scrapbook pages!)

Thank you so much to everyone for the sweet comments you left for the cards my kids created.  They had huge smiles on their faces when I read all the comments to them this morning. Thank you!

Have a Happy Sunday!

Niki

What a pretty card. That little guy is precious. I love your coloring. I just bought my first Copics recently and am having a hard time transitioning from colored pencil to markers. I can tell it will be a while to get the hang of them. Someday I hope to be able to color like you.
