'Tis the Season
I took a little break today from my Papertrey Ink projects to play along with this week's Lili of the Valley challenge which is "One for the Girls." I pulled out this adorable image called Skating Along. I think I have a thing for cute little girls with their puppies or kitties. The patterned paper is from Echo Park's Life is Good line. Echo Park is quickly becoming one of my favorite patterned paper companies. I love all their lines!
I colored my image with copic markers. Then, I sponged some blue chalk around my image to create the appearance of a soft sky. I stitched my image to a piece of brown cardstock after I die cut it with a rectangle nestability die. Then, I added some white fun flock to her hat and coat and some Glossy Accents to the ground to make it shiny like real ice. After everything was dry, I thought the sky needed to be a little darker blue so I added more chalk. I accidentally colored some of my stitching with some chalk so I had to color all of it with blue chalk, but the blue stitching adds a fun touch so I think it worked out okay even it if was an accident. *wink*
I used another one of those fun seal sentiments from Catslife Press. I love these and can't wait for the new ones that Lili of the Valley is releasing later this week. I punched a snowflake and added some glitter to it. Then, I adhered my sentiment in the center with a glue dot and used more glue dots to add it to my card.
Hope you're having a great week! Hugs!
