Birthday kitty

Did everyone have a good Christmas?  Ours was very nice.  We always go to my husband's grandparents on Christmas Eve.  Then, we were home for Christmas.  I love just staying home.  We opened stockings first.  Then, while the kids are playing with the goodies from their stockings, my husband and I make breakfast.  Then, we open presents (we had to take a break from presents this year because the little one was ready for a nap), have snacks, and later, make dinner.  A nice, relaxing day spent with the family.

Today, I thought I would share this card with this adorable kitty image from Wild Rose Studio, a company from the UK.  I found their images this summer and they are so adorable!  I didn't get a chance to color up any of the cute Christmas images before Christmas so I'll have to create cards with them next year.

I paired my image with some patterned papers from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl line and colored her with copic markers.  (Sorry, I don't have the marker colors for this card as I colored the image this summer.  I know the browns are E31, E33, E35, E37 as they are the browns I usually use.)  I die cut the flower from patterned paper using the PTI Beautiful Blooms dies.  Then, I curled the edges up and tied my button in the center.

Here's a close up of the little kitty image.  Lacey carries many of the Wild Rose Studio images in her store, Stamp and Create.  I don't see the kitty, but she has lots of the other cute images.

Have a wonderful week!

Niki

I'm so glad you had a good Christmas Niki :) Your Christmas Eve/Day sounds a lot like ours, we always go to relatives on Christmas Eve and then stay home on Christmas Day. It's fun for us to all be able to play with our new toys ;) Your card is precious, I love how you used the flowered semi circle behind the kitty, and the bakers twine, flower, and paper piercing look GREAT!

Gorgeous! We stayed home on Christmas Day this year and I too love staying home. We host my side on Christmas Eve and usually visit hubby's side Christmas Day but we got a little snow this year (my kids got their first white Christmas!) and since his family lives in a higher elevation, we stayed home this year.

sounds exactly like our Christmas, minus the nap, lol. The 12 and 14 year olds would not go for that.
Love the cheery colors on your card

Glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Next year the baby will enjoy it, too.
