hoppy Easter

It's hard to believe it is almost Easter.  I have to squeeze in a couple more Easter cards this week!  I created this card yesterday with this adorable bunny and that beautiful basket from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  The cute little bunny is from the L'il Buddies stamp set and the basket is from the Spring Baskets stamp set.    I paired my stamped image with some papers from the Springtime collection from Echo Park.  I used some white seam binding and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts (leaves are punched with a Martha Stewart Frond Leaf punch).  To create the bow, I tied my ribbon around my card like normal.  Then, I tied a second bow with the tails from the first bow.  Does that make sense?  I stitched a button in the center and snipped the ends with some pinking scissors.   The kraft embossed border was die cut with a die from the Floral Doily Accent Mega Shapeabilities die set.  The sentiment is from the L'il Buddies set.

To create my stamped image, I stamped the bunny first with tuxedo black memento ink on copic x-press it cardstock.  Then, I masked the bunny and stamped the basket and eggs behind it.  I colored my image with these copic markers: BG11, BG13, Y35, Y38, YG95, YG97, W1, W3, RV32, RV34, V95, V99, R37, R39, E43, E44.  I used the W1 and W3 markers to create the light shading on my white bunny.  I die cut and embossed the circles using circle nestability dies.

Eggs are all boiled and now it's time to go decorate them with the kids.  I always love decorating the Easter eggs together.  If I don't get a chance to post the other Easter card that I'm finishing up before Easter, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!
