Hi Everyone! I have a cute little birthday card to share today. I had a chance this week to create a card using some adorable images from Lawn Fawn. I always have so much fun with their images!
I started my card by stamping the dog, cat, and tree from the Critters in the Burbs stamp set on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink. Then, I stamped the party hats on their heads (I didn't mask this time - more on that in a minute). The party hats are from the Hats Off to You stamp set. Then, I stamped the banner from the Bannerific stamp set. I used a Labels Eight nestability die to die cut my image. I colored my tree, cat, and dog with copic markers. Then, I stamped the hats and birds (from Bannerific) on copic x-press it cardstock, colored them, and cut them out. I stamped the banner on a piece of patterned paper from Echo Park's Playground collection and cut it out. Then, I masked the tree, cat, and dog, added a few cloud masks cut from the MFT cloud die and sprayed the sky with a BG01 copic marker and my air compressor. I removed the cloud masks and lightly sprayed the clouds so they aren't too white. Then, a adhered the party hats, banner, and birds to my image and colored the grass. I used these copic markers when coloring my image: E31, E33, E35, E37, C2, YR21, YR23, YR24, R20, YR12, YR16, E55, E57, R27, R89, B34, B37, B39, Y19, BG01, YG01, YG13, YG17, colorless blender.
I adhered my image to a piece of black cardstock and hand cut the black mat for my image. I added a couple black brads to the corner. I stitched my patterned papers from the Echo Park Playground collection to a black mat, wrapped some Charcoal baker's twine around the bottom and adhered my layers. Image is adhered with foam adhesive.
The challenge over at Lawnscaping is "Let's Party" so I'm playing along with their challenge today as well. Come play along for a chance to win a great prize!
Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there!
