Pots of Love

Hi Everyone!  Hope you're all having a great week!

We're heading into another heat wave with really high temperatures.  Boo!  This weekend will likely be miserable.  We're just not used to almost 100 degree weather here in Oregon.

Anyway, I'm back to share another card.  I've been enjoying picking and choosing which stamps I want to use (instead of having to use certain stamps for design teams).  For this card, I chose an adorable image from Lili of the Valley.

I decided to pull out the adorable Pots of Love image for my card.  It comes with the sentiment shown on the card.  Isn't it so cute?!   I colored the image with copic markers (colors listed below).  I used some patterned paper from My Mind's Eye's Blush paper pad along with some twine, crocheted lace, a button, a paper doily, and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

After coloring my image, I masked it and sprayed the sky with a copic marker using my air compressor.  I left the image in the rectangle nestability die while spraying the background so it left the white border.

I added some star dust stickles to the edges of the flower petals to give them some sparkle.  When assembling my card, I had to add lots of stitching on the layers, too.

I hope you all have a great rest of the week!  Thanks so much for stopping by and for the sweet comments you leave!
Niki :)

Wow... 100 degrees! After it has been cold way too long here in the Netherlands we are all só happy to finally see some sunshine. Today it was about 27 degrees (we use Celsius) so that's about 80 degrees Fahrenheit. ;-)
Your card is gorgeous!! I especially like the orange cat so I'm going to write down the numbers (thanks for adding them) of the copics and buy them asap. The image would be very nice on a Halloween card in these colours. ;-))
hugs, Jolanda

This is so adorable and your flowers are fabulous. YIKES on the temp! I hope you have A/C and can stay cool. We are used to having 100+ summers, and we all have A/C. Though I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to the heat.

This is so pretty! I love the beautiful mix of soft designer papers, the stitching, and the flower cluster. Gorgeous work! Isn't it nice NOT being on a DT and being able to make what you want when you need it? I'm not on any dt's right now, and just loving it!
