Happy Birthday Dad

Hi Everyone!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  We went huckleberrying on Saturday.  We didn't find a lot of berries (enough for huckleberry pancakes Sunday morning with more left over), but it was really nice getting away for a picnic and drive.

Today is my dad's birthday so I thought I would share the card I created for him.  He has a large garden and really enjoys spending time in it.  So, I thought this image from Lili of the Valley was perfect for his card.  The image is called Vegetable Patch

I colored the image with copic markers (listed below) and used some patterned papers from Echo Park.

The sentiment is one you can customize in the middle with whomever the card is for and is from the For Him Sentiments set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  An extra thanks to those of you who take the time to leave comments.  I love hearing from my blog readers!  It makes me feel like I'm not just talking to myself! lol :)

I am sure your Dad loved the card, it is fantastic. I haven't gone Huckleberry picking in many years. I used to make Huckleberry Cream Cheese muffins. Now you have my taste buds wishing for some. Have a good week.

WOW, Nikki this card is beautiful and your colouring is stunning!

I just wanted to ask, I understand you made your own marker with BG70 & BG72, could you tell me roughly how many drops of each?
I get 3/4 BG70 & 1/4 BG72 but I don't know how many drops a sketch marker holds!

I would really appreciate your help, hugs

Hi Keeley. Thanks so much! When I create the custom markers, I create the refills in an empty colorless blender refill bottle. I just fill it 3/4 full with BG70 and 1/4 full with BG72. Shake it up and then use the refill bottle to fill an empty sketch marker. Hope that makes sense.

I love your idea about mixing B70 with B72...need to do that. And your clouds! Wow! Just love the. Assume you did those first? Thanks for sharing this sweet, heartfelt card! Hugs!
