Are you getting ready for Valentine's Day yet? It's hard to believe that Christmas was just here and we're already on to Valentine's Day! Today, I have to share this adorable little cupid dragon. lol He is just so cute! Meet Matchmakin' Maynard from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
I recently got some of the My Mind's Eye Quite Smitten paper and I am definitely smitten! My Mind's Eye creates some of my favorite papers. I chose some copic markers and colored my image in coordinating colors. I used oval nestability dies to cut out my image and mat. I sponged some ink around the edge of my image to help it stand out a little more. I cut all my layers and added some stitching.
I added my image using foam adhesive for a little extra dimension. I covered a chipboard heart with patterned paper and layered it over a second heart. I used my crop-a-dile to punch two holes and tied some ribbon through the holes before adding it to my card.
I'm working on a tutorial for stamping the striped paper using Papertrey's Faux Ribbon. I planed to post it this week, but with the release, I haven't had a chance so it will probably be posted next week. Tomorrow, I have a field trip with my son's preschool class. Well, I am off.
Have a great day!
Niki
