Babies are Heaven Sent

The featured stamper challenge on SCS is one of my favorite challenges.  I don't seem to get the chance to play in it very often since it is on Sundays and we're usually doing family stuff, but I got a chance to play along and create a card yesterday.  Kathy aka Wattle is this week's featured stamper.  I chose this card to case.  The rules of the featured stamper challenge say you have to change at least two things.  I changed the following:
  • color combo
  • patterned paper
  • theme and stamps
  • moved the sentiment
  • added a ribbon across the bottom instead of the sentiment
  • added stitching
In the past, I have been asked how I come up with my color combos and if I color my image first and find patterned paper or the opposite.  The card all started with the image and patterned paper.  I decided I wanted to use this image and then found some patterned paper I liked.  I chose my cardstock colors and copic markers colors by finding colors that coordinate with the colors in the patterned paper.

Can you believe it was snowing again today?!  I miss the sun! *wink*

Sorry about the snow! It's been in the 80's here for the past few days but when I was younger it actually snowed here(TN) in May and we were all freaking out. I remember having to wear a sweater--in MAY! By late July/early August it will be so hot here that the pool water isn't cold enough to get relief from the heat and humidity.
Your card is darling! My 5yo loves babies and is already telling me that she plans on having 3 children, all girls with black hair.
