'tis the season to be jolly

Hey Everyone!  Lots of Whiff of Joy news today and a little giveaway, so be sure to read the entire post.  I'm back to share a card using one of the adorable Santas from Whiff of Joy.  I just love these Santas!  And I happen to have an extra to giveaway!

I used the Santa Reading List stamp for my card and colored the image with copic markers.  I added lots of antique linen and tea dye distress inks to the edges of the image and then, distress the edges with an edge distressor.  I stitched around the image and added some spacers and silver brads to the corners.  I added stitching and distressing to all of my patterned papers and the sentiment, too.  Then, I finished off my card with a poinsettia, bead cap, and pearl brad.

Have a great day!

Niki

Recipe
Stamps: Santa Reading List (Whiff of Joy Stamps), Communique Curves (Papertrey Ink)
Cardstock: white, ripe avocado (Papertrey Ink)
Patterned Paper: Wassail (Basic Grey)
Ink: antique linen distress ink, tea dye distress ink (Ranger), tuxedo black (Momento)
Accents: poinsettia, spacers, silver brads, bead cap, pearl brad
Tools: copic markers, edge distressor, distress ink foam applicator

What a cute Santa! This is my first year into stamping and I am absolutely loving the Christmas stamps. I read your blog every day and get such good ideas. Thanks so much.

OMGosh I love vintage-looking, distressed card! You have done such a spectacular job on it that the paper appears to me to be fabric! The Santa is adorable, as well as the baking Santa. Speaking of baking, I made my first batch of Christmas cookies today. I'm making all the cookies that freeze well as in they taste fresh throughout the month when I take them out to eat, serve or give! Today was Russian Tea Cakes. Friday will be Pecan Tassies ... wish you were here to enjoy some of them. :)
