Hogs-n-Kisses

I'm back again with another of those cute piggies from High Hopes.  (I used the Large Pickles Balloon Ride, but Lacey has the Small Pickles Balloon Ride available in her store.)  I created this card last weekend when I had a chance to sit down and play with some images I haven't used in quite a while.  Anyway,  I used some patterned papers from Basic Grey and colored my image in coordinating colors using copic markers.  Lots of stitching and some red buttons finish off my card.

Here are the copic markers I used to color the image.

How have things been in your neck of the woods?  We've had our share of stressful things lately.  The economy stinks and we are getting hit hard like so many other people.  I try not to stress and think about it too much, but I still do.  You know how that is.  My husband will be laid off soon.  He may have another job to go to the middle of February.  I keep praying that it will work out as we need it really badly.  It will stink that he won't be home all week as the job is not around home, but we will have to deal.  Well, I am off to work on some things.  Have a great day!

Niki

This is so cute! I LOVE the color combo. I don't know that I would have put the blue and red papers together...but it ROCKS!! Thanks for linking to me store :-) The "small" stamp was actually an error on my part...I wanted the regular size..oh well! By the way, you have a package on the way to you ;-)

I hope things work out for your husband and that he is able to find a job quickly. I know how stressful it is. My husband was off from the end of June until the end of November. We are just now starting to catch up on things...kwim? Thinking of you and sending good wishes your way!!

Niki, this is really adorable, and I absolutely love the blue against the red, the patterns remind me of bandanas which works perfectly with that cute little piggie in his overalls!

Hi Niki! Such a cute card! I am sorry to hear about your hubby's job. It just sucks with the economy lately. I have been laid off each year but thankfully rehired each year. It is so stressful though. Thinking good thoughts for you guys.

This is so cute! I love the paper combo you used! The buttons in the corner are sweet, perfect touch! Your new profile pic is really nice! I need to do that too, sigh.
Best wishes that your husband will be working at a new job soon. It must be so scary-I know how I feel every month when I have to pay the bills and wonder how we do it and what would happen if one of us wasn't working. Hoping for the best for you!
