Quick & Easy Gifts

This month, Nichole asked the Papertrey Ink design team to create some quick and easy gifts to share using the new Tiny Treats: Christmas stamp set (releasing October 15th).  There are so many adorable images in this set!  The hardest part was choosing which images to use!

For my gift idea, I decided to create a nugget tin.  I've always loves them and it's been a long time since I created one.  The new Tiny Treats: Christmas stamp set has a stamp that coordinates with the Mat Stack 1 die so it's very easy to make quick labels for your gifts.  I stamped my label on a piece of white cardstock that I had die cut.  Then, I cut a white circle using the circle die and a green circle using the scalloped circle die from the new Limitless Layers die collection.

After I filled my tin, I wrapped it with some patterned paper from the new Distressed Dots patterned paper pad.  (The 8" patterned papers won't wrap all the way around a nugget tin.  So, to cover my tin, I cut a strip 3 1/2" wide and a piece 3 1/2" x 3 1/2."  Then, I wraped the strip around the top of the tin creating creases.  I removed the strip and scored where the creases were and added the square to the bottom side to complete my wrap.)  I tied a ribbon around the tin and added a button and my label to the top.

I used stamps from Holiday Treats stamp set to stamp my white address labels.  Then, I wrapped the labels around my Hershey nuggets.  I stamped the bell and reindeer on white cardstock, colored them with copic markers, and used a circle punch to cut them out.  Then, I added them to the tops of some of the chocolate nuggets.

Nuggets tins are the perfect gifts to give to neighbors, teachers, and friends as well as family and they don't cost very much to create.  My tin only cost $3.51 to create!

Check out the other designers' blogs for lots more inspiration using Calendar Basics: Nichole, Betsy, Dawn, Debbie, Erin, Heather, Kim, Lisa, Maile, Melissa, and Michelle.

Have a great day!

Niki
