have a whale of a time!

I had the chance last weekend to play along with the current Lawnscaping challenge which is to use Critters on our cards.  I love the cute little Lawn Fawn critters so that was easy enough.  I pulled out the adorable Critters in the Sea set for my card.  I love that little whale!

I stamped my whale on copic x-press it cardstock with tuxedo black memento ink and colored him with these copic markers: W1, W3, W5.  Then, I cut him out to use on my card.  I used patterned papers from Echo Park's Sweet Summertime line.  I stamped the waves from the Critters in the Sea set repeatedly to create my waves and cut them out.  Then, I die cut my sky patterned paper using a Labels 8 nestability die, added my waves to the bottom, and trimmed the ends with a pair of scissors.  I stamped the sentiment on some white graph paper (from the Sweet Summertime line), adhered it in place, and trimmed the edges again with a pair of scissors.

I stamped my kraft card base with the Hero Arts Envelope Pattern background stamp using rich cocoa memento ink.  I used some antique linen distress ink to go around the edges of my patterned papers.  Then, I added some black mats and stitched my base patterned paper.  I stamped the whale's spout and adhered the whale with foam adhesive.  Then, I used the MFT Sunshine die to die cut a yellow polka dot patterned paper.  I stitched an orange button in the center when I stitched it to my piece.  Then, I adhered the whole piece of foam adhesive.

As soon as I finish typing this up, I'm going to package up stamps.  So, if I received payment for your stamps, they will be shipping out today.  Thanks, Everyone!  I hope you enjoy your new goodies. :)

Have a great day!

Niki
