Season's Greetings

I received a wonderful package from Claire at Waltzingmouse Stamps recently and I didn't wait long to create my first card!  I always love creating Christmas cards so it was fitting that my first card with my new stamps is a Christmas card.

I absolutely love the beautiful label stamps that Claire designs.  This set coordinates with the Spellbinder's Label 18 nestability dies.  I started my card by stamping this beautiful label image from Very Vintage Labels 18 with Red Magic Versa Magic ink on cream cardstock.  Then, I stamped my sentiment from Very Vintage Christmas with Midnight Black Versa Magic ink.  Then, I placed my die over my stamped label, taped the edges so it would stay in place and die cut and embossed it with my Spellbinder's Grand Calibur die cut machine.  I love how beautifully this machine die cuts and embosses.

I set my label aside so I could create my stamped patterned paper.  I stamped the text from Text-It on cream cardstock with Hint of Pesto Versa Magic ink.  Then I randomly stamped the snowflake from Very  Vintage Christmas with Red Magic ink.  I stamped the striped image from Pic-Nic Patterns with Hint of Pesto ink on cream cardstock and cut it out.  Then, I stamped the border image from Very Vintage Christmas on cream cardstock with Midnight Black ink, sponged Fired Brick distress ink on the piece, and cut it out.

I inked the edges in all my papers with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain distress inks using a foam applicator and stitched my layer together.  I added a little crochet lace and adhered my piece to my card with Memory Glue Dots.  I used foam adhesive to adhere my sentiment.  I stamped some holly from Very Vintage Christmas on Copic X-Press It cardstock with Tuedxo Black Memento ink and colored them with copic markers.  I used these marker colors: R27, R46, R89, YG95, YG97, YG99.  I cut the holly out, scored the leaves and curled them up, and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots.

I am going to try the supply photos again.  I haven't decided if it is a feature I like or not because of the time involved, but hopefully it is useful to some of you.

Have a wonderful day!

Niki

You're really making me wish I'd started on my Christmas cards - I am behind on my schedule already! After the Easter cards are finished, I definitely will have to get cracking!!! Hugs, Ruth S
